Charles Sobhraj, also known as the “Bikini Killer,” is a French serial killer and con artist who was active in the 1970s. He is believed to have murdered at least 12 people, mostly young Western tourists, in Thailand, India, and Nepal. He is about to be released from jail in Nepal after 19 years . After serving his sentence in Nepal’s jail since 2003, now the Nepal Supreme Court has ordered his release.Sobhraj was known for his charm and ability to evade authorities, and he was able to commit his crimes for several years before being arrested in 1976. He was eventually convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in India, but he managed to escape from prison in 1986 and fled to France. He was eventually re-arrested in 2003.
