Gaya and Nalanda selected for Swadesh Darshan scheme

Gaya and Nalanda have been selected for development under SD2.0 whereas Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi District of Bihar is a site identified for development under PRASHAD Scheme of MoT.

The Ministry has now revamped its Swadesh Darshan scheme as Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0)

What is  PRASHAD Scheme ? 

Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) is a scheme in India that aims to improve the infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites and other places of spiritual importance in the country. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Culture and is designed to enhance the overall experience of pilgrims and to promote the spiritual and cultural heritage of India.
