Shri Siddheshwar Swami was Born  in Bijjaragi, Vijayapura, Karnataka and Grew in Bijjaragi, Vijayapura, Karnataka.

Shri Siddheshwar Swami is often referred to as the ‘Walking God of North Karnataka’ . He was also fondly called as Buddiji. 

He was a Lingayat priest and saint at Sri Jnana Yogashram in Vijayapura, Karnataka.

He was ordained as a math seer by his guru, Vedanta Kesari Sri Mallikarjuna Mahashivayogi.

In the year 2018, he was nominated for the Padma Shri Award, although he refused to accept the award, he had clearly told Shri Narendra Modi ji through a letter that he is a sanyasi and that is why he Wrote “I don’t need titles, I am a sanyasi,”.

Siddeshwara Swami experienced several fractures due to a fall at a devotee’s home in January, but he fully recovered from the injuries.

Siddeshwara Swami passed away after prolonged illness on 2 Jan 2022 at 81 Years age.

Swamiji has written several books on Upanishads, Gita, Sharana philosophy and general spirituality. Some of his major works are;

  • Bhagavad Chintana (Reflections of the Divine)
  • God, World and Soul
  • Patanjali Yoga Sutras
  • Narada Bhakti Sutra
  • Shiva Sutra. 
  • Allama Prabhudevara Vachana-Nirvachana
    • the commentary on Allama Prabhu’s Shatsthala Vachana is now being translated into English and will be released shortly.
