He was about 4 years old when his parents had him join Timbits hockey.
Shane Wright is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was selected first overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
He is considered a top prospect in the NHL and has been compared to superstars such as Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby for his elite skill level and potential.
Wright was granted exceptional status by Hockey Canada, which allowed him to enter the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) a year early at the age of 15.
He played for the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, and had an extremely successful season in 2021-2022, where he recorded 66 points in just 47 games.
Also he is the youngest player ever drafted to the NHL, he was just 17 years old at the time of the draft.
His potential is considered to be very high and his NHL career is yet to start but it will be interesting to see if he will be able to reach the expectations set on him.
