Indian naval ship INS Kadmatt arrived in Manila, Philippines in a Maritime Partnership Exercise

As part of a long-range operational deployment, the Indian naval ship INS Kadmatt arrived in Manila, Philippines, on December 12, 2023. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen maritime cooperation between India and the Philippines.

During the port call, there will be various activities involving personnel from both navies. These activities include professional interactions, exchanges of expertise, and visits between the ships, all aimed at improving cooperation and sharing best practices. Additionally, there are plans for visits by school children and community outreach and social impact activities during the visit.

After leaving Manila, INS Kadmatt will engage in a Maritime Partnership Exercise in the South China Sea with BRP Ramon Alcaraz, an offshore patrol vessel of the Philippine Navy.

INS Kadmatt is a warship specifically designed and built in India for anti-submarine warfare. It is equipped with advanced anti-submarine weapons.
