Indian Sign Language Research and Training Center (ISLRTC) : The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Center (ISLRTC) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Established in 2015, ISLRTC focuses on the promotion and advancement of Indian Sign Language (ISL) for the benefit of deaf individuals in India.

The primary objectives of ISLRTC include:
Standardization of Indian Sign Language: ISLRTC works towards standardizing Indian Sign Language to ensure uniformity and consistency in communication among the deaf community and between deaf and hearing individuals.
Research and Documentation: The center engages in research and documentation related to Indian Sign Language, its grammar, vocabulary, regional variations, and linguistic structure.
