On December 14, 2023, CSIR-NPL organized a half-day outreach program for the upcoming India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023, scheduled to take place from January 17 to 20, 2024, at RCB-THSTI Campus in Faridabad, Haryana.
The program began at the CSIR-NPL auditorium with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Prof Venugopal Achanta, Director of CSIR-NPL, welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of IISF and the outreach program in raising awareness and promoting a scientific mindset.
The Chief Guest, Prof. M. M. Tripathy (Director General, NIELIT), spoke at the event, recalling his experience with IISF 2016 held at CSIR-NPL campus. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in such programs, emphasizing their role as future leaders contributing to the country’s economic development. Dr. Tripathi also discussed the importance of ethics in areas like Artificial Intelligence, digital public infrastructure, cyber security, quantum computing, molecular communication, and the associated challenges for society.
