Addressing the delegates from India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam attending the festival.
Aligned with the International Year of Millets 2023 , the festival aims to raise awareness and create a larger market for millet and millet-based products. The festival will run until December 15, 2023. It follows a previous festival in Jakarta, Indonesia, held from November 22 to 26, 2023.
On the second day of the festival, a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting organized by APEDA is set to take place. This meeting serves as a platform for businesses from India and ASEAN member states involved in trading millets and millet-based products to interact. The goal is to encourage collaboration and explore commercial opportunities across borders. This event is particularly significant for startups and farmer-led organizations, allowing them to assess the potential appeal and viability of their products for an international audience.
