Yashoda Devi is a very famous women leader of Jharkhand. She represents Dumri assembly constituency of Giridih district of Jharkhand as an AJSU party candidate. All Jharkhand Student Union (AJSU) Party leader Yashoda Devi has been named the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the Dumri assembly by-election scheduled for September 5, 2023. Yashoda Devi file her nomination on August 17, the last date for nominations.

Talking about Yashoda Devi’s educational qualification, she is 12th pass. He has passed his 12th examination from Bihar Board in the year 1994 from Rambilas High School Bermo.
After the demise of Jagarnath Mahato, the post of MLA of Dumri assembly constituency was lying vacant for which elections were held recently.
As per the results data of that election, Initially Yashoda Devi is leading over her rival Baby Devi, wife of late Jagarnath Mahato. But Lastly AJSU candidate Yashoda Devi lost the election With About 10505 Votes Gap .
Many other candidates stood for the Dumri assembly seat, among which All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen candidate Abdul Majeed Rizvi, and some independent candidates, including Roshan Lal Turi, Kamal Prasad Sahu, Narayangiri etc.
During the assembly elections in 2019, Yashoda Devi contested as an AJSU candidate and came in second, losing to Jagarnath Mahto.
